Christmas list – checking in twice…

I was walking around the other day in one of my many favorite craft stores and noticed the $1.00 aisle and thought HMMMMM.  I’m always looking to see what I can create and with the holidays upon us we are ALL trying to get ourselves organized (atleast we say that we are!). I came across this great mini file/notebook and thought this would work here is where all my recycling products come into play.  Leftover scrapbook paper, ribbon, trim.  The only thing I needed to add was the Christmas tree button.

Materials Needed: Favorite Findings – Twinkle Twinkle #484

                              La Mode #1259 (tree)

scrapbook paper; ribbon; card stock; glue; velcro; ink pad; pop dots

measure scrapbook paper for front and back and adhere with glue.  Run glue on seam and adhere gold ribbon/trim to cover seam (tuck ends underneath).  With your brown ink pad gently glide along edges to give aged look (remember to do the back).  Cut ribbon for closure – make sure to give some extra inches for when your book is filled   Glue one end to the back cover and the other end to the back of button.  Add velcro dot to the front cover and onto the back of ribbon/tree.     With extra card stock – cover with paper and add “Christmas List” and add pop dots for extra dimension.  Add buttons and off you go to do your shopping…

Christmas list – checking it twice and three times and now your organized!

You’ll be suprised what great bargains you can find in the $1.00 aisle – think of the “possibilities” and don’t be afraid to experiment!

HAPPY CRAFTING!
