Here’s a fun Button Heart Patch you can add to your favorite casual jacket. The great thing about a custom patch is that you can change the size and add your own embellishments. For this patch, we used buttons (of course)!
To make this Button Heart Patch you will need the following materials:

Felt, 1 Piece Each Pink and White
Needle and Coordinating Thread

Scissors
To begin, create a template for your patch. Draw a heart on a piece of paper and cut it out. Draw wings on a piece of paper and cut them out. Place the heart template on top of the pink piece of felt. Trace around all sides and then cut out the heart. Place the wings on top of the white felt. Trace around all sides then cut out the wings.
Place the heart in the center of the wings and then sew the heart onto the wings.
Place the pink buttons on top of the heart where you want them. Snap a quick photo with your phone so you have a reference for the placement of the buttons. Sew each button onto the heart.
Finish sewing all the pink buttons to cover the heart. Fill any empty spaces with smaller buttons or beads.
Place the white buttons on the wings where you want them. Take another photo for reference. Sew all the white buttons onto the felt.
If you don’t want to sew the patch onto your jacket, try attaching it with a few safety pins.
This also makes a fun decoration for a tote bag!
Happy Crafting!!
