I want to “thank” Elena Lai Etcheverry on a blog that she posted on August 25. 2011. Check out her blog The Life of a Traveling Princess – you will definetely get hooked! I am actually borrowing her title also! This blog is so true to heart and I hope that this will encourage you and inspire you to give credit to those who have taught you something that you can teach others!
I was introduced to Elena by my co-worker Liane (a “big” thank you!) who’s participated in many of Elenas workshops! She happened to mention a blog that Elena posted that featured “button” jewelry…Once I saw these we approached Elena and asked if she can create/design several pieces for an upcoming show. Now, I would love to share with you her creations which in turn inspired me to create several jewelry pieces!
The above necklace was created using Loops & Threads Buttons and jewelry findings which are available in Michaels Craft Stores.
Love this fun, whimsical bracelet! Also created by Elena – here she used Loops & Threads Buttons in addition to jewelry findings which are available at Michaels Craft Stores.
So a big Thank you to Elena who has inspired me to create my version of a stacked button & bead bracelet. In my next blog I will post a tutorial on how you can create your own necklace or bracelet! Hopefully it will inpire you to create.
My bracelet was created with our Favorite Findings Glitter buttons and glass beads.
So check back and I hope I can get you to create your own…
HAPPY CRAFTING!
