For today’s post, I’ve created some fun ways to use buttons to dress up a table. It is so easy to make your guests feel special by making a unique napkin ring or centerpiece. I hope you feel inspired to create your own button table décor for Easter dinner or even a Mother’s Day brunch.
For these Button Table Décor ideas, I used the following buttons:
Buttons & Beads Azalea 100005817
Buttons & Beads Sorbet 100005819A
Buttons & Beads White 100005810
Select buttons that coordinate with your napkins, plates, or theme!
For the first look, I used a shaped rose button and a simple white napkin. This Offray gingham check ribbon pulls the look together. Just thread the narrow ribbon through the shank and wrap the ribbon around a rolled napkin. And if tying bows isn’t your thing, just tie a simple knot!
For the next place setting, I used a lime green napkin with a coordinating large polka dot button. Just thread narrow Offray satin ribbon through the button holes and tie in a bow. This would also work with a plain white napkin, just switch to a coordinating solid ribbon for an additional pop of color.
This place setting uses a bright pink napkin and Offray grosgrain ribbon in a bright orange. The fabric covered button pulls the look together. For each napkin, cut 16 inches of ribbon. Fold the ribbon in half ad cross the ends slightly. Stitch the button onto the ribbon about 4 inches from the folded end of the ribbon with coordinating thread (I used orange). Trim the ends of the ribbon at an angle. Slip around a folded napkin and you have personalized table decorations!
You can also use colorful buttons as vase filler! For this look, I layered different color buttons and added inexpensive baby’s breath. The trick to this is to use a smaller vase inside a larger vase. Fill the space between the buttons with the buttons. Use the smaller vase to hold the water and flowers. This is also a pretty way to show off your vintage button collection!
