Where did summer go? We always ask that question once we hear the sound of school bells and school buses and of course stores filled with school supplies! For some school began mid August, here on the east coast we are preparing our little ones, medium ones, and older for their first day. Last minute supplies so little time…but how about setting time for crafting with your kids or maybe suprise them with a craft project you may have done while they were in school?
In the past several years we have created some great BTS (back to school) projects with the help of some great designers and why not bring them back out to encourage and inspire you to create your own….
To begin our projects we used an assortment of Favorite Findings Buttons:
5500/761 – Primary Stars
5500/29 – Color It
5500/32 – High Five
5500/496 – Big Primary
5500/422 – Primary
In addition to the above Buttons we also used Favorite Findings Big Value Bags:
These are available in assorted button sizes, shapes, numbers and alphabets…
5500/2001 – Rainbow
5500/2030 – Numbers
5500/2031 – Alphabet
5500/2032 – Shapes
Here is what we’ve created and will hopefully inspire you also…
It’s amazing what a plain wooden box can become. Or how about that plain canvas tote!
Take those bright sneakers and turn them into FUN!
Just adding a little detail makes the difference – Add some embroidery floss to the buttons…
layering buttons 2 – 3 high giving it a dimensional look…remember to try different surfaces – the above is a foam frame.
Adding clothespins makes a great memo board frame!
What a great project – Flash Cards!
Thank you to all our designers that created these fun, whimsical and educational projects: Elaine Schmidt, Kim Ballor and Helen Slabodukh!
So what are you waiting for – start CREATING and have some BUTTON Fun with your kids!
Happy Crafting!
