Spring Fashion Skirts 2015

Hello all! Despite a chocolate and coffee shortage, I am incredibly content this week for the simple fact that it is pretty certain winter is OVER. That’s right- I said it out loud…and I will say it again. WINTER IS OVER. Done. Finito. No more late night scavenger hunts for milk and bread at your local shop, no more dagger like icicles hanging from your frost bitten nostrils, no more staring outside your window for five minutes at the impending doom before walking outside. It was a gorgeous sunny day Saturday that peaked up to the mid 70’s and Central Park was packed with celebrating bodies decorated in nothing more than a layer of buttoned cotton and melted ice-cream. This my friends, is what I call SPRING. tumblr_nlj562cwQY1sxqyhyo2_500

Goodbye Winter Hello Spring

Speaking of buttoned cotton and Springtime, I happened to come across on article about the current Spring trend being button-up skirts. That makes us very happy at Blumenthal, as we love our button trends! It is a trend that I have seen a lot of the last couple weeks while roaming around New York City and I am absolutely in love with it. You can read this article on Style.com here.

This is such a casual, yet chic and classic look that always looks so stunning and feminine in the Spring and Summer time. I love how versatile a long button-up skirt can be..you can wear it super casual with a t-shirt and sandals, or dress it up with a big hat, chunky necklace, and leather jacket. So many different looks with one item of clothing.
